TANIA MARTINS

He graduated in Fine Arts from the Faculty of Fine Arts of São Paulo and took the Post-Graduate Course in Art History at Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado – FAAP with the theme “Conceptual Attitudes in the Work of Ubirajara Ribeiro”, under the guidance of professor Virginia Gil Araujo.

She took the specialization course “Teaching, Art and Culture” at the School of Communication and Arts – USP (NACE), coordinated by Ana Mae Barbosa, and “Art in the Therapeutic Context” by Dr. Joya Eliezer. She graduated as a Decorator from the Institute of Arts and Decorations – IADÊ, where she received her first orientations on drawing with the artist Arnaldo Papallardo.

He attended the studio of plastic artist Ubirajara Ribeiro, where he learned the techniques of painting, oil, seasoning and floral watercolor materials with Professor Gilberto Raimund. He received the first orientations on the acrylic technique with Carlos Fajardo. Developed works in Monotypes under the supervision of Dudi Maia Rosa. He rescued the drawing in the course “Provenance and Property”, with Charles Watson.

​In 2007, he started the theoretical course “Modern Art”, by Giulo Carlo Argan, and accompanying projects by Marco Giannotti, at Collegio das Artes. He attended several courses at Instituto Tomie Ohtake, FAAP, Instituto Moreira Salles, Lasar Segall Museum, Pinacoteca, MAC-USP, MAE, FASM. Courses in Modern and Contemporary Art, History of Photography, Cinema, Drawing, Watercolor, Painting and others aimed at art education.

Publicizing his work since 1979, he participated in collective and individual exhibitions and received awards in the drawing and watercolor categories. Currently, he develops works in different expressive techniques and is dedicated to teaching Art Education within institutions and studios.
